Reader be warned : Grammatical errors and spelling uh- ohs happen often on this blog of mine, so buckle up-my lines of typed words can be bumpy at best.
I try not to sound lame on this blog, but sometimes I slip up: The above painting was inspired by observing a feather dropping to the ground below- it floated back and forth, and danced down, very slowly. The feather seemed to mimic a persons movements. It was all very American Beauty plastic bag like.
With this in mind I encased three actual feathers in acrylic gel- fastened those to the canvas and then painted three more over top with the help of ink transfers, touch marker and oil paint.
Ta-da! It’s art .
