Wind
Ink transfer and India ink on paper
11 x 17 “
10$
It all began with a photocopy machine. And a face pressed against the surface of that photocopy machine.
I used that image to do a selective ink transfer with a blender marker onto watercolor paper. Then I exaggerated the expression and the details by cross hatching and filling areas in with India ink.
The photograph of this artwork doesn’t to it justice, it didn’t capture the details- every hair is visible in the drawing, and every eyelash too.
I guess that’s why I’m not a photographer.
(The title of this Painting is ‘Wind Blows’ which is also the title of a great song by Yukon Blond. Check that band out right now. They good.

Lecky! I don’t know anything about science, but I don’t think that you’re supposed to smush your face against a photocopier! I feel like that’s a good way to go blind! Actually, there’s probably no such thing as a “good way to go blind”, so I guess photocopying your face is a bad way to go blind. Anyway, it’s dangerous!
Ahh I would agree. Moments later I had a crazy bad headache . But art!
I know that *facepalming* isn’t cool with young people anymore, but seriously *facepalm*.
Lovely art though! Might be newest favorite!
